International Earth Day

Last Thursday, 22nd April, we celebrated the International Earth Day and our 3rd and 4th Primary students held activities that allowed them to discover how to reduce food, water and energy waste and learn about the circular economy to prolong the useful life of things. One of CEM values is respect for people and nature and, as one of our 3rd of Primary students said while drawing planet earth: “I prefer to paint it with eyes because it has life and we have to take care of it”. What a wonderful reflection!

The students of 2nd Primary planted pine nuts in the courtyard and the 5th Primary participated in the project “Save the forests” and also created sculptures in Technology to raise awareness of the importance of recycling. In 2nd ESO they did a laboratory practice to study the effect that acid rain has on the germination of seeds. Interesting!
